    MeetIndex Support

Whether you found a stubborn bug or want to better understand the MeetIndex philosophy, this page is for you.

We're a tiny team fueled by high-octane coffee and a big vision. Let us know what's on your mind, we are always working to make this place better... one cup of espresso at a time.

How can we help you today?

“The internet is a casino. We're the quiet room next door.”

    The MeetIndex promise

    Community Guidelines: Code of Honor

    Protecting the Sanctuary

    A Sanctuary for Passions

MeetIndex is a refuge for passions over ideologies. A place for photographers sharing their craft, writers discussing narrative techniques, musicians collaborating on projects, and travelers exchanging destination tips. Not for political grandstanding or manufactured outrage.

    What We Encourage

Our community thrives when members contribute:

    • Thoughtful questions that deepen understanding
    • Sharing personal experiences related to your passions
    • Constructive feedback that helps others improve
    • Celebrating others' achievements and milestones
    • Creating resources that benefit the entire community

    Intentional Living vs. Mindless Noise

This space celebrates intentional living—people pursuing hobbies, building businesses, creating art, exploring ideas. We actively discourage the mindless noise that plagues mainstream platforms: performative political virtue signaling, tribal ideological warfare, and the exhausting cycle of outrage bait designed to keep users addicted to feeling angry.

    Respectful Disagreement

Disagreements happen, but personal attacks don't belong here. Challenge ideas, not people. If a discussion becomes heated, step back rather than escalate. Our moderators may temporarily freeze threads that have become counterproductive to the community's purpose.

    Content Boundaries

    Political Discourse

Political discussions are often used online to fuel outrage and engagement, which runs against the values of the MeetIndex environment. Content that crosses into ideological combat may be removed, and accounts that repeatedly cross the line may be paused or closed.

    What is banned?

Content whose primary intent is ideological persuasion, advocacy, or mobilization. That includes: party politics, activist campaigns, ideological imagery, "educational" content framed to push a political worldview.

    What is not banned?

Academic research (political science papers, historical analysis), Primary sources (laws, treaties, constitutions) without commentary, Historical discussion after the fact, framed descriptively, not persuasively. If the content tells the reader what they should believe or support, it does not belong on MeetIndex.

    A Note on Adult Content

MeetIndex is an 18+ platform, but it is not an adult platform. Nudity, sexually explicit material, and pornographic content are not permitted in profiles, galleries, status updates, forums, or messages. We keep this rule firm so that the space stays comfortable for the photographers, writers, makers, and travelers who built it. Repeat or severe violations will result in account closure.

    How We Curate

Our moderation, both human and AI-assisted, is proactive but never theatrical. If your content centers on ideological combat, harassment, or feeding the outrage machine, you'll be quietly asked to step away.

    Content Review Process

Our team reviews reported content within 48 hours. For borderline cases, we ask:

    • Is this discussion advancing knowledge in the topic area?
    • Is this personal expression rather than ideological combat?
    • Does this contribute positively to the community's purpose?

Content can be removed if it meaningfully crosses one of our published guidelines.

This isn't censorship; it's curation. MeetIndex is not a public square; it's an intentional community with standards.

    Keeping Our Sanctuary

If you encounter content that violates these guidelines, report it. Don't engage in public confrontation; our moderation team will handle appropriate follow-up.

If you still see political discourse or other violations on MeetIndex, reporting it will expedite the content review process. Our bots are learning to identify the various subtle ways people attempt to spread their ideologies and outrage, but sometimes human review is quicker.

A Private Garden, Not a Public Square

Free-speech protections apply to government censorship, not to private platforms. MeetIndex exists by the values of its guidelines, not by entitlement. If you're looking for a venue for political crusading or outrage culture, the rest of the internet is generously stocked with options. We're building something quieter on purpose.

    Consequences & Refunds

If you are banned for violating these Community Guidelines, our team processes refunds for manual bans usually within 3 business days. Your refund should be returned within that timeframe, depending on the day of the week and the payment system used. If you received an automatic ban, please contact us if a week has passed without a response.

    In Practice:

Talk about which hiking boots hold up best on mountain trails. Discuss why film photography still matters. Share business advice on scaling a side hustle. Debate the best DAW for electronic music production. Celebrate passionate, purposeful human connection. Leave the ideological warfare behind.

Welcome to the sanctuary. Keep it that way.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Getting answers the right way

How can I prevent my items from appearing on the HUB pages feeds?

Control who can discover and view your profile by changing your Privacy Settings to "Unlisted" or "Private" on your "Edit" profile window.

    Why is political content discouraged?

Political discussions online tend to fuel outrage cycles, which run against MeetIndex's purpose as a sanctuary for passions, not ideologies. Content built around ideological persuasion may be removed, and accounts that repeatedly cross the line may be paused or closed.

I still see content that doesn't fit the sanctuary. Should I report it?

Yes. Our automated systems are learning the various subtle ways noise tries to slip in, but human reports are still the fastest path. If something feels off, send it our way at info@meetindex.online.

    Is adult content permitted?

No. MeetIndex is an 18+ platform, but it is not an adult platform. Nudity, sexually explicit material, and pornographic content are not permitted in profiles, galleries, status updates, forums, or messages. We keep this rule firm so the space stays comfortable for the photographers, writers, makers, and travelers who built it.

Someone posted my work without permission. What can I do?

We've got you. MeetIndex is built on ownership, and that means yours too. Email us at info@meetindex.online with a link to the material and proof that the work is yours, and a real human will review it — not a faceless queue. Valid claims get the content removed or disabled promptly. Where it feels safe to do so, a quick, polite message to the person who posted it often clears things up even faster; most cases are honest mistakes. The full reporting steps live in our Terms of Service.

Can I post images, music, or writing I found somewhere else?

Only if you made it or genuinely hold the rights to it. A simple rule keeps this place clean: if it isn't yours and you weren't given permission, don't upload it.Whatever you post here, you're telling us you have the right to share it — and the responsibility for that sits with you, not MeetIndex. We're a sanctuary for creators, so we take other people's work seriously. Honest slip-ups get fixed with a friendly nudge; deliberate or repeat offenders get paused or shown the door, no refund. Make it, license it, or leave it out.

My account was closed for a guideline violation. What happens to my membership?

Account closures for guideline violations are reviewed individually. If your membership was within its 30-day money-back window, you'll receive a full refund automatically. Outside of that, refunds for closures are handled case by case — reach out at info@meetindex.online and we'll respond within a few business days.

How do I create and polish my PIN?

Click "Create PIN" in the header, sign up with your email, and fill out your profile information. Your PIN will be live immediately. You can edit and refine it anytime from your profile page. Think of it as your digital home—make it reflect who you really are.

Can I change the look of my profile?

Yes — Citizens can choose from eight Profile Themes that change the border and accent colour of every card on their PIN. Visit your profile, click the palette icon next to your name, and pick a theme. Changes take effect in real time, no page reload required. The eight themes are:

    • Dreamy — warm amber gold (the default).
    • Nocturne — deep rose-red with an occult edge.
    • Neon — electric cyan glow.
    • Frost — glassy cool white.
    • Nightshade — synthwave purple.
    • Sunset — cozy warm orange.
    • Midnight Velvet — sophisticated slate-silver.
    • Matcha Tea — earthy sage green.

All themes adapt to your visitor's light or dark mode preference, so your PIN always looks intentional regardless of how someone is viewing it.

How do I change my password or login email?

Both are managed from your Security Settings page — reachable any time from the dropdown menu under your avatar. To change your password, you'll be asked to confirm your current one first. To change your login email, we send a confirmation link to the new address before making the switch, so you can never accidentally lose access to your account.

I forgot my password. How do I get back in?

On the login page, click the “Forgot password?” link next to the password field. Enter the email address on your account and we'll send you a reset link. Follow the link, set a new password, and you're back in. The link expires after a short window, so use it promptly. If you no longer have access to your login email address, contact us at info@meetindex.online and we'll sort it out manually.

What can I include on my PIN?

Your PIN is a full personal space, not just a bio. Build it out with a Journal for your updates, a Gallery with Highlights for your favorite moments, and your own Blog & Forum for longer writing and conversation. Add Connections to map your network, a Guestbook where visitors can leave you a note, and Around the Web links out to everywhere else you live online. Depending on how you use MeetIndex, you can also share Classifieds listings and Entertainment releases. The goal is clarity and context—help people understand who you are and what you're about, without algorithms deciding your fate.

    Is MeetIndex free to use?

Free to visit, paid to participate. Anyone can browse profiles, hubs, Pulse, the News Archive, and curated discoveries without spending a cent. To create your own PIN, post status updates, upload photos, send messages, or take part in the forum, you become a Citizen with a paid membership.

    How much does Citizenship cost?

$5 per month or $50 per year (two months free). One simple plan, no hidden tiers, no upsells. Your membership unlocks every interactive feature on the platform, including a gallery of up to 100 photos, status updates, forum participation, direct messages, classifieds, and entertainment releases.

What if MeetIndex isn't for me?

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. If within your first 30 days you decide MeetIndex isn't the right home for you, just email info@meetindex.online and we'll refund you in full. We chose a refund instead of a free trial because trials attract tire-kickers; people who pay first and have an honest out are exactly the people we want here.

    Why is participation paid?

Free social platforms are funded by advertising or by selling your data, which means the algorithm always works against you. We call our small membership fee the Quality Tax.It quietly filters out bot farms, throwaway accounts, and rage-engagement actors before they ever arrive. What remains is a community of people who actually want to be here. Sometimes the value of a membership isn't what you gain — it's what stays out.

How does MeetIndex stay sustainable without ads?

We don't run ads or sell your data — two business models that pit a platform against its members. We're funded by Citizen memberships, optional Supporting Member donations, and clearly labeled sponsorships. It's straightforward: you support us by being here. We support you by staying honest.

How many photos can I upload?

Citizens can upload up to 100 photosto their gallery. Your avatar and profile banner don't count against that limit. We accept files up to 20 MB and gently optimize each photo on upload (resizing and converting to efficient WebP) so the platform stays fast for everyone — you'll see a small toast telling you what we did.

Are my Highlights also saved in my gallery?

No — Highlights are a curated, separate part of your profile, hand-picked to show your best moments up front. They don't automatically live in your gallery. If you'd like a photo to appear in both places, upload it to your gallery as well.

What happens if my membership lapses?

Your data is never lost when payment stops. Memberships move through a few calm states:

    • Active: full Citizen rights.
    • Past Due: if a payment fails, you keep full access for a 14-day grace period while we retry.
    • Paused (Dormant): if the grace period ends, your profile becomes a quiet read-only ghost. You can still log in and see everything, your old content stays preserved, and renewing is one click away — but you can't post, upload, message, comment, or create new content until you're back. Friends see a small “paused” pill on your avatar; strangers visiting your URL see a soft “currently paused” page.
    • Archived: after 12 months paused with no login activity at all, we send a final heads-up email before moving the account to cold storage. Login still works to renew — we never silently delete a Citizen.

If a friend pauses, can I still message them?

When you message a paused Citizen, you'll see a small note that they're currently away. Your message is held in their inbox until they renew, at which point it appears unread. No bounces, no awkward errors — just a polite pause.

What's the difference between cancelling and deleting?

Cancelling stops your subscription but preserves your account — your profile becomes paused and you can resurrect everything by renewing. Deletingis permanent and immediate: from Settings → Security you can erase your account and everything in it in seconds, completely, under your data rights. Most people who think they want to delete actually want to cancel; if you're not sure, we'll help you choose.

How do I delete my MeetIndex account?

You're always in control of your data. Go to Settings → Security, open the Delete Account section, confirm your identity, and type delete my account to confirm. Deletion is immediate and permanent — your profile, posts, gallery, uploaded media, and account are erased right away, with no way to undo it. We only retain the limited records law requires (e.g. tax/billing held by our payment provider). If you can't log in, email us at info@meetindex.online and we'll handle it for you.

What is the Founding Citizen badge?

Citizens who joined during the closed beta receive a permanent Founding Citizenbadge on their profile — a small wax-seal mark that says “I was here at the beginning.” It's a separate distinction from the IndexSeal verification mark and the Supporting Member donor flag; a single Citizen can hold all three independently.

    What is the IndexSeal?

The IndexSealis MeetIndex's identity confirmation mark. It appears on the profiles of verified public figures, businesses, artists, creators, and organisations — confirming that the profile genuinely represents who it claims to be. It is not a status symbol or a paid perk; it is purely a trust signal. The badge cannot be purchased — it is only awarded after proof of identity is reviewed and confirmed.

Why does MeetIndex offer identity confirmation?

To protect citizens from impersonation, copycats, and confusion — especially as other platforms have weakened or monetised their own verification systems. Our goal is straightforward: clear identity, safe community, zero impersonation drama.

How do I get an IndexSeal on my profile?

You need to demonstrate that you control a recognised public identity. Any of the following counts as proof:

    • Post publicly on one of your established social media profiles stating “I am on MeetIndex” (or similar).
    • Add a link to your MeetIndex profile on your official website.
    • Add MeetIndex to your Linktree, Carrd, or public bio hub.
    • Send a confirmation email from your official business domain (e.g. @yourcompany.com).

Once you have your proof ready, contact us at info@meetindex.online. There is a $5 administrative review feeto cover the manual work involved in checking your submission — this is not a payment for the badge itself. Only confirmed identities receive the seal.

    Does MeetIndex verify government-issued ID?

No. MeetIndex does not collect or review any ID documents or government-issued information. We confirm identity using public digital footprints — your website, domain email, or existing social presence. This keeps the process privacy-safe and free of sensitive document handling.

What happens if someone is impersonating me?

Contact us at info@meetindex.online with your proof. Once confirmed, impersonating profiles will be removed or renamed, duplicate identities will not be permitted, and you will receive the IndexSeal. We will also rename your profile for you on request if the username was taken by an impersonator.

Are fan pages and tribute profiles allowed?

Yes — respectful fan, tribute, and unofficial profiles are welcome as long as they are clearly labelled as such (e.g. “Fan Page”, “Unofficial”, “Tribute to ___”). If an official person or brand claims a name, any affected profiles will have a 7-day grace period to rename themselves. After 7 days, unedited profiles may be renamed or removed if they risk causing confusion. We will always notify you before taking any action.

    Can I lose my IndexSeal?

Yes, the seal may be removed if:

    • You request its removal.
    • You delete or break the verification link that was used as proof.
    • The connected account proving your identity is removed or compromised.
    • We detect identity fraud or misuse.

We will always notify you before removing a seal unless there is an urgent trust or safety reason.

    How long does verification take?

Usually 24–72 hours. During high-volume periods it may take a little longer. We review every submission personally.

    Who processes my payments?

Subscriptions are handled by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as our Merchant of Record. They handle every payment securely and take care of regional taxes (including EU VAT, UK VAT, and US sales tax) so we can focus on the platform instead of paperwork. MeetIndex never sees or stores your card details.

How does search and discovery work?

Search and filters are primary. We don't rely on algorithms to decide who gets visibility. You find people by skill, location, interest, or HUB. Fair visibility is the default — no algorithm decides if people see you. The best connections are intentional.

How do I report inappropriate content?

We take community safety seriously. Please report inappropriate content directly to info@meetindex.online. Our team reviews every report personally.

    Can I delete my PIN?

On MeetIndex, your PIN isyour account — there's no separate login behind it. So deleting your PIN means deleting your account: everything in it (Journal, Gallery, Blog & Forum, Connections, and more) is erased right away. You're fully in control: head to Settings → Security and use Delete Account— it's immediate and permanent. If you just want to step away without erasing anything, cancel your subscription instead and your PIN pauses safely. Can't log in? Email us at info@meetindex.online and we'll handle it.

    What's the 24-hour block cooldown?

After you unblock someone, you cannot re-block them for 24 hours. This protects against the "unblock → harass → reblock" cycle, where someone repeatedly unblocks, sends a harmful message, then immediately re-blocks before the victim can report them. The 24-hour window keeps their profile and Report button visible to you, so you have time to respond if needed.

How do I connect with others?

Browse HUBs by interest or location, search for people by skill, or explore the News Archive for curated discoveries. Send messages directly to connect. The goal is genuine conversation, not endless notifications. You control the pace.

    What's your privacy policy?

We don't sell your data, use dark patterns, or feed you algorithmic noise. Check our Privacy Policy for full details. We believe your information is yours—always.

Is MeetIndex a "Public Square" for free speech?

No. MeetIndex is a private sanctuary—a walled garden built on shared values. We're not a town square; we're a coffee shop with house rules. You're welcome here if you respect the space: no algorithms, no outrage, no manipulation. If you want absolute freedom with zero accountability, this isn't your platform. But if you want to connect authentically? Welcome. Leave the drama at the door.

    Is MeetIndex against free speech?

Free speech is a protection from government censorship, not freedom from consequences in private spaces. MeetIndex has community guidelines because community requires boundaries. We protect your right to speak—just not your right to manipulate, harass, or spread noise. There's a difference between silencing voices and refusing to amplify noise. We choose the latter.

Do classified listings and entertainment releases expire?

Classifieds expire after 30 days — this keeps the marketplace fresh and prevents stale listings from clogging up search results. When a classified nears or hits expiry, a warning appears in your dashboard. To renew it, open the listing's edit page, make sure the Published toggle is on, and save — this resets the 30-day clock from today. Expired listings are automatically hidden from public pages but remain in your dashboard so nothing is ever permanently lost.

Entertainment releases do not expire. They stay live as long as your membership is active. You can hide your own release at any time by opening its edit page and switching the toggle from Published to Draft — it immediately disappears from public pages and can be re-published whenever you are ready. A release can also become hidden as a result of a moderation action; if that happens, a warning will appear on your dashboard.

What is a Draft listing, and how do I publish it?

Both classifieds and entertainment releases support a Draft state. A draft is saved to your account but is completely invisible to other members — it does not appear in hub pages, search results, or on your public profile. Drafts are only visible to you, in your dashboard.

When creating a new listing you will see two buttons at the bottom of the form: Save as Draft and Publish. Choosing Save as Draft lets you work on a listing across multiple sessions before it goes live. When editing an existing listing, a Published / Draft toggle near the bottom of the form controls its visibility — flip it and save to switch states instantly. Your dashboard shows a count of any unpublished drafts so you always know what is waiting.

    Does my Connections/Lovers profile expire?

No. Your Connections/Lovers profile has no expiration date. It stays on your account indefinitely, tied to your Citizenship. The only control is a visibility toggle on the Lovers edit page — set it to Public to appear in the Connections hub, or switch it to Hidden to take a break from that side of MeetIndex without losing any of your profile data. You can toggle it as many times as you like at no cost.

I can't reach the edit page for my classified or entertainment release — it just redirects me away.

The edit page checks that you are logged in and that the listing belongs to your account. The most common cause of a silent redirect is being logged into a different account than the one that created the listing. Sign out, sign back in with the correct email, and try the edit link again. If the problem persists, email info@meetindex.online with the URL of the listing and we'll sort it out.

    Text & Upload Allowances

Every limit on MeetIndex, gathered in one place

We keep most fields short on purpose. Tight limits keep conversations readable and stop any one voice from burying everyone else. You'll see these counts beside the boxes as you type, but here is the full list for reference.

    A note on pacing

Alongside these length limits, generous daily fair-use caps keep things healthy, and you can't post two comments or replies back-to-back in the same place — give others a moment to respond before you add more. It keeps every thread feeling like a conversation, not a monologue.

These allowances may be refined as MeetIndex grows; this page is always the current source of truth, and our Terms of Service point here for the live numbers.
